Claudine Elizabeth Dayton, a past worthy advisor of the Order of Rainbow for Girls, plans to attended Draughon’s School of Business after her graduation from PHS. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Dayton, route 2, Perry, and was born March 21, 1941, in Perry. Before entering Perry high four years ago, she attended Lone Star and Whipple schools. Her hobby is sports, and her favorite subject is typing. In addition to taking part in freshman and sophomore class assemblies, she has been in the Red Hots, served on the library staff, was senior home economics class president and sand in the Christmas vespers.
Claudine Elizabeth (Dayton) VanBebber

Claudine Elizabeth “Dayton” VanBebber, age 84, of Perry, Oklahoma, passed away on June 1, 2025, in Perry, Oklahoma.
Born in rural Noble County on March 21, 1941, she was the daughter of Claude W. and Floris Orlo (Ballew) Dayton. Claudine attended Whipple and Lone Star Schools before graduating from Perry High School. She furthered her education at Draughon School of Business.
On July 11, 1959, Claudine married her high school sweetheart, Gene Warren VanBebber.
Claudine was an efficient bookkeeper and secretary who worked at various jobs until her skills became the backbone of the family business, the GVL Corporation. Gene provided services for the agriculture, commercial, and oil industries, but Claudine provided the bookkeeping skills needed to have all the permits and take care of billing and payroll.
Preceding her in death were: her husband, Gene W. VanBebber; her parents, Claude and Floris Dayton; sister-in-law, Christy Whitchurch; and brother-in-law, Eddie Noteware.
Survivors include: daughters, Glenna Moak and husband, Tom of Austin, Texas, Vicki Cook and husband, Ron, of Perry, and Lucia VanBebber of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Alicia Miller and husband, Jerry of Perry, Graham Moak and wife, Chelsey of Denton, Texas, and Gavin Moak of Austin, Texas; great grandchildren, Wyatt Farthing, Savannah Moak, and Ollie Moak; brother, Lorn A. Dayton and wife, Gloria of Granbury, Texas; and sister, Diana Noteware of Perry.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at First Christian Church in Perry, Oklahoma with Reverend Dr. Joshua Bell officiating. Memorial contributions can be made payable to First Christian Church in Perry.
