Franklin Eugene Koch plans to enroll at Northern Oklahoma junior college or A. & M. tech school at Okmulgee following graduation from Perry high. He is the 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Koch, route one, Perry. He has attended school in Sunny Slope and Fourdee districts and Sumner besides here. He was born March 5, 1938, in Perry. Koch has participated three and a half years in wrestling and one year in baseball.

Franklin Eugene “Gene” Koch, 86, of Ponca City, OK, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Born in Perry, Oklahoma on Saturday, March 5, 1938, he was the son of Ivan Earl and Hilda (Voss) Koch. He graduated from Perry high school in 1957.
On December 31, 1959, he and Phyllis Chiles, were married in Stillwater, OK. They made their home in Ponca City where he retired from employment with Kay County.
Gene loved to fish, and was a hard worker.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include: his wife of 65 years, Phyllis, of the home; children, Debbie Miller and her husband, Roger, of Fredonia, KS, Earl Eugene Koch of Ponca City, OK, Diane Dewberry and Ken Johnson of Ponca City, OK; grandchildren, Brad Miller, Bobby Barnett, Nicole Brewer, Jeremy Wilson, Franklin Koch, Patrick Koch, Austin Miller, Kyra Gordon; great-grandchildren, Levi and Landon Barnett, Christlyn Barnett, Brently Wilson, Alanna Miller, Cavin Brewer, Walker Gordon, Emmet Koch, Jaxon Brewer, Waylynn Miller, Wrangler Miller; great-great-grandchildren Dalaynee; siblings, Harley Koch and his wife, Kay, Sue Lowery and husband Jerry, Glennice Diebold; sisters-in-law, Kay Moore, and Charlotte Stephens; many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Ranch Drive Baptist Church, Ponca City, Oklahoma.
