Grover Benjamin “Ben” McBride

June 15, 1940 – January 12, 2025

Grover Benjamin McBride, 84, of Crane, Missouri departed this life on January 12, 2025.

Born on June 15, 1940, to Clyde and Agnes Dexter McBride. He attended Lone Star Grade school and Perry High school until his sophomore year.

He a member of the United States National Guard from 1956 to 1958 and a member of the United States Navy from 1958 to 1961.

In February 1962, Ben and Maxine “Cheryl” Burnside were married. To this union two daughters were born.

Ben retired from his job as a heavy equipment operator and moved to the Crane, Missouri area, where he resided around 30 years.

In his free time he loved fishing, riding his Harley, and camping.

Preceding him in death were: his parents; two daughters, Tonya McBride and Tammy McBride; and one stepdaughter, Shawna Murray.

Survivors include his significant other, Denise Murray of Crane, Missouri; one stepson, Roger Vanmeeter of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Sheryl Leach of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Tony McBride, Tyson McBride, and Tiffany Murray; and four great grandchildren, Ben, LaRondon, Tru and Mila.
