David Robinett, 18, plans to enroll at Baylor university or Northern Oklahoma Junior college. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Compton Robinett, 722 Fir avenue, and was born Jan 6, 1941, in Waco, Texas. In addition to Perry, he has attended school in Magnolia, Ark., Odessa, Texas, Waco, Big Spring, Texas, and Oklahoma City. He has participated in football, basketball, track and baseball. Reading and hunting are his hobbies, and world history is his favorite subject.

David Compton Robinett

January 6, 1941 – October 28, 2004

David Robinett, 63, of Crawford, Texas died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, in Waco, Texas.

Born in Waco, Texas on Jan. 6, 1941, he was the son of Compton and Clara (Smith) Robinett. He graduated from Perry high school in 1959 and continued his education at Northern Oklahoma Junior College, Tonkawa, Oklahoma. White at NOJC he was active in music and dramatic organization and was vice president of the student body his senior year. Later he attended Baylor university.

On October 12, 1963, he and Mary “Gwen” Richardson were married in Pocasset, Oklahoma. To this union a son was born.

Survivors include his mother, Clara Robinett of Crawford; his wife of 41 years. Gwen Robinett, of Crawford; and one son, Brad Robinett, of Crawford.

Graveside services and interment will he at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at Compton Cemetery, Crawford, Texas with the Rev. Jerry Walters officiating.
