Sharon Kay (Francis) Roper

Sharon Kay (Francis) Roper, 80, of Fletcher, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in Fletcher.
Born in Perry, Oklahoma on September 14, 1941, to Charles William and Manila (Baetz) Francis. She attended Perry schools until the beginning of her freshman year when the family moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma. At Chickasha high school she was a member of the Chickette Pep club, Emanon, and LTO social clubs. Sharon graduated from Chickasha high school in 1959 and continued her education at the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickaska. She attended OCW for two years where she was a member of the Em Hi social club, Phi Beta Lambda, Tau Gamma, and served as president of the chapter of Future Business Leaders of America.
On June 25, 1961, Sharon and William “Dale” Roper were married. The couple made their home in El Reno, Oklahoma where Dale was employed by the Fisher-Nissen Shoe company. To this union three children were born.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing with her grandchildren, and volunteering at her Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Barbara Busby.
Survivors include: her husband, Dale Roper; daughter, Stephanie Miles and husband Danny; son, Brendan Roper and wife, Sherri; son, Shannon Roper and wife, Camille; grandchildren, Kyle Hatley, Becky Douglas, Chris Douglas, Justin Roper, Charli Roper, Alys Roper; great-grandchildren, Aria Douglas, Tyler Miles, and Cody Miles; and sister, Marilyn Bridwell.
