The son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Condit, 1101 Ninth street, Duane L. Condit was born Dec. 21, 1957, at Enid. He attended Red Rock school from 1965 until 1971. He was a member of the Perry chapter of Future Farmers of America, 1973-77; the Jock club, 1976-77 and was a member of the football team from 1972-73. Condit lists going to the lake as his hobby. He plans to attend Northern Oklahoma college at Tonkawa.

Duane Leroy Condit

December 21, 1957 — July 14, 2025

Duane Leroy Condit, 67, passed away in a traffic accident on July 14, 2025, east of Perry, Oklahoma.

Born in Enid, Oklahoma on December 21, 1957, the son of Norman and Wilma (Sullins) Condit. Duane grew up in the Red Rock and Perry communities and was a 1977 graduate of Perry High School.

He was employed as a welder at Charles Machine Works and formerly at R. L. Frailey. In his free time he enjoyed doing carpentry work, mowing, and keeping his yard looking nice. He loved deer hunting and fishing. He was a big Oklahoma State University fan and especially enjoyed OSU football.

Preceding him in death were: his parents; two brothers, Randy Condit and Rickie Condit; and one sister, Vickie Lockwood.

Survivors include: his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Ross, and her husband Derek; stepdaughter, Cassie Graham; sisters: Carol Condit, Perry, Oklahoma, and Cynthia Condit, Springdale, Arkansas; and grandchildren, Payton Schovanec, Easton Ross, and Hunter Ross.

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
