July 28, 1942 — October 30, 2025
Judith “Judy” Carrol Patak, 83, of Garber, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at Integris Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on July 28, 1942, in Perry, Oklahoma, Judy was the daughter of Elizabeth “Libby” Russell and Walter “Jiggs” Russell.
Judy dedicated her life to her family, and nothing brought her greater joy than being a mother and grandmother. Her home was a place of open arms, warm meals, and the kind of comfort only she could give. She will be remembered as warm, genuine, and deeply loving- the kind of person who made others feel comfortable just by being near. She had a calm, steady presence and a way of making people feel cared for and safe.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her brother Ronald Russell, and her daughter, Adele Laing.
Survivors include: her devoted husband, Charles Patak; her children: son Devon Clark and his wife Julie of Boise, Idaho, and Amber Koehn of Newton, Kansas; her stepchildren: Charla Seeliger and her husband Jeff of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Michael Patak and his wife Billie of Perry, Oklahoma. She was the proud grandmother of April Crabtree (Wichita, KS), Mallory Clark, Joshua Clark, and Sophie Clark (all of Boise, ID), Madison Hershberger, Elijah Koehn, and Stella Linn (all of Newton, KS), Damien Crombie (Oklahoma City, OK), as well as Allison Kindred of Sanford, Florida, Michaela Seeliger of Saint Louis, Missouri, and Brandon Patak of Perry, Oklahoma. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren. Judy also leaves behind her beloved dog, Hope, who was never far from her side.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Garber, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Perry. In honor of Judy’s life, donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Garber, Oklahoma, where she was a devoted member for years.
