Economics and math are favorite subjects of Michael Douglas Spillman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Spillman, 715 Locust street. He was born Aug. 23, 1952 in Perry. He has been an honor society member since 1968. He plans to enroll at OSU and major in electronic engineering.

Michael Douglas Spillman, 73, passed away November 22, 2025, at his home in Bethel Acres. Oklahoma.
Born in Perry, Oklahoma on August 23, 1952, he was the son of Jimmie and Evelyn Spillman. He graduated from Perry High School in 1970 and continued his education at Oklahoma State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1975.
He lived and worked in Seattle, Washington contracting as an electrical engineer designing and writing circuits for 50 years before returning to Oklahoma in 2024. He enjoyed designing and working with electronics, writing computer programs, coding, the internet, hiking and sailing.
He loved his nieces and nephews and especially his cat, Daisy.
Survivors include: his sister, Marilyn Kaufmann and her husband Robert, Newalla, Oklahoma; his brother Bobby Spillman and wife Karen, Tucson, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Barbara Cook.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, orchestrated by his family. No formal funeral service will be held. Memorials may be made in his honor to the First Baptist Church of Perry.
