Linda Brand plans to major in education after her graduation from Perry high school. She is the 17-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee E. Brand, 1108 Kaw street. She was born May 26, 1938, in Noble county and has attended Catholic and public schools in Perry and a school in Canyon City, Colo. Linda has been a Red Hots cheer leader, member of the National Honor society, the yearbook staff, and the school library staff.

Linda Leona Boyd, 87, of Ponca City, OK, died on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Born on Thursday, May 26, 1938, in Perry, OK, she was the daughter of Leo and Margaret (Wagner) Brand. She graduated from Perry High School in 1956, where she was a cheerleader.

She married Marvin Clayton Boyd in Perry on July 14, 1956. They were blessed with three children and remained married until his death on March 5, 2000.

Linda was a woman of varied interests and talents as co-owner with Marvin of Concraft, a construction company specializing in pipeline safety coatings. She modeled elegant women’s clothing while living in Midland, TX, for a local department store. She was also a licensed private pilot and active in volunteering for hospice. She was an enthusiastic global traveler.

In March, 2000, her husband, Marvin, preceded Linda in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Clalyn Schaefer of Canyon Lake, TX; two sons, David Boyd of Bridgeport, TX, and Alan Boyd of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Linda is also preceded in death by travel partner, Doug Wilson.

A Graveside Ceremony will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, December 12, 2025, at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview Ave #103, Ponca City, OK, 74601, or McCord Senior Citizens Center, 115 E.
