a 1975-76 Maroon basketball tri-captain, Christopher Orin Raupe also was active in football, 1973-75; baseball, 1975; and track, 1973. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Raupe, 605 Qual Creek drive, he was born Jan 2, 1958, at Stillwater. In addition to Perry public schools, he attended Watonga elementary school, 1967-70; Sunset elementary school at Anadarko, 1966; St. Joseph school at Perry, 1965; and Mulhall elementary school, 1964. Reading is his hobby and his favorite subject is Problems of American Democracy. Following graduation, he plans to attend Oklahoma State university.

Christopher Orin Raupe

Christopher Orin Raupe, 68, of Fairmont, Oklahoma, passed away on March 17, 2026, in Fairmont.

Born on January 2, 1958, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, he was the son of Richard L. Raupe and Anne Caroline O’Neill. He grew up in Perry, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Perry High School in 1976. He went on to attend Oklahoma State University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University, graduating in 1982 with a degree in economics and a minor in accounting. During his college years, he was a proud member of Beta Theta Pi.

A man of many interests and talents, Christopher had a lifelong love of cooking and was always eager to prepare a meal for family and friends – especially breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. He had a passion for learning languages, studying Spanish, Gaelic, German, and Italian. An Eagle Scout in his youth, he carried those values throughout his life. He also enjoyed fishing, LA Dodgers baseball, and cheering for Oklahoma State. Christopher was a member of the Roman Catholic faith, which guided his life and values.

He is survived by his children: Rebecca (Tanner) Tobiason of Fairmont, Oklahoma; Peter Raupe of Hayward, California; James Raupe of Seoul, South Korea; Paul Raupe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and David (Amanda) Raupe of Edmond, Oklahoma. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Atticus Raupe, Owen Raupe, Hayden Raupe, Henry Raupe, Sophie Tobiason, and Mia Tobiason. He is also survived by his siblings: Terre Butler, Richard Raupe, David O’Neill, Beth Beckwith, and Dana Otto, and was adored by a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Richard Raupe and Anne O’Neill.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry, Oklahoma on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
