Charles Baetz
– born in Perry 17 years ago and has lived here ever since. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Baetz, 1225 Delaware street.
Charles attended grade school and junior high school at the Lutheran school. He attended Perry high school for four years.
Charles played football while in high school. He is past vice-president of the Lutheran Walther League and newly elected president.
After he graduates, Charles intends to go into the service.

Services for Charles Otto Baetz, 83, of Daingerfield, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, in Nail-Haggard chapel with Pastor Wayne Renning officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Rocky Branch.
Mr. Baetz was born Oct. 25, 1925, in Perry, Okla., and died Sept. 23, 2009, in Tyler. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and served with the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Baetz of Daingerfield; three daughters, Janet Curry of Irving, Carol McKinney of Tyler, and Bette Moore of Mesquite; seven sons, Charles Baetz of Tyler, Wayne Baetz of Daingerfield, Steve Baetz of Gilmer, Kenneth Baetz of Colorado Springs, Colo., Gary Baetz of Lake Dallas, James Scott Baetz of Austin, and Brian Baetz of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
