Daryl S. Voss is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Art Voss, 1311 Elm street. He was born Aug. 22, 1950, in Perry. He attended Christ Lutheran school 1959-62. He won the state farmer degree in FFA this year; is active in the Christ Lutheran church and Walther league; was on the newspaper staff; mixed chorus; president of Walther league 1967-68; FFA photographer 1967-68; and in the senior play cast. Advanced composition is his favorite subject and camping is his hobby. He plans to attend Northern Oklahoma college.

Daryl Stephens Voss

August 22, 1950 – February 28, 1998

Daryl Voss, 47, former Perry resident, died at 10:54 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, at his home in Joplin, MO.

Voss was the son of Will Art and Audrey Voss and was born in Perry on Aug. 22, 1950. He attended Christ Lutheran School and was a 1968 graduate of Perry High School. He had been involved in a number of PHS organizations, including FFA.

He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Oklahoma State University in 1972.

Voss formerly worked with a nursery in Tahlequah, at a gas station in Enid, and for ARCO at Covington. He had been employed at Ozark Nurseries until this year.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin.

Survivors include his parents, Will Art and Audrey Voss, Perry; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Ann Voss, Tulsa; Ralph and Jenny Voss, Duncan; and Russell and Penny Voss, Norman; five nieces, five nephews, and one great-niece.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Perry with Rev. Myron C. Maltz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church memorial fund.
