George Washington Dolezal, Sr.

January 22, 1901 – December 26, 1997

George Dolezal, 96, died at 6:20 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 1997 at Perry Nursing Home.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home. Rev. Lynn Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery.

Dolezal was born Jan. 22, 1901 and was the son of Joseph E. and. Mary J. (Kasl) Dolezal. He was a 1919 graduate of Perry High School.

He and Margaret Mae McCoy were married at Oklahoma City on Oct. 24, 1921. His wife preceded him in death in 1982.

Dolezal was employed by Noble County Abstract Company from 1921-1970. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.

In addition to his wife, Dolezal was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, George Jr. and Carol Dolezal, Lakewood, CO, and Jack and Bo Dolezal and Jim and Sarah Lou Dolezal, all of Perry; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
