Kathryn “Kitty” (Marshall) Foster

December 31, 1896 – May 15, 1998

Kathryn “Kitty” Foster, 101, long-time Perry resident, died at 10:20 a.m. Friday, May 15, 1998 at Perry Green Valley Nursing Home.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home. Rev. Lynn Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery.

The casket will be open at the funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, but will not be opened at the service.

Mrs. Foster was born in Avoca, WI on Dec. 31, 1896. Her parents were Dr. W.C. Marshall and his wife, Evelyn. She attended St. Joseph Academy and Perry High School.

In 1917, she and Joe H. Foster Jr. were married. Mrs. Foster served as Noble County Tag Agent for 26 years. She was affiliated with the Christian Church.

Among survivors are two sons, David Foster, Albuquerque, NM, and Robert “Bob” Foster, Parrish, FL; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Kelly (Dorothy) Hoggatt, Perry; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Foster and Hilda Marshall, both of Perry; and a brother-in-law, Orie Nida, Perry.
