– A member of Perryscope staff one year and member of national honor society in her senior year was Loraine Horn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Horn, Red Rock, route 2.

Loraine has won a full-tuition scholarship to the University of Oklahoma, Norman, in the Scholastic Magazine’s annual awards contest.

Loraine was born August 10, 1926, at Red Rock and attended schools at Pleasant Valley, district 27. She is a member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls and plans to go to college at the close of school

Marjorie “Loraine” (Horn) Grasser

August 10, 1926 – June 28, 1970

Services were pending Monday in Fayetteville, Ark., for Mrs. Gene (Loraine) Grasser, 43, Anchorage, Alaska, who died Sunday in a Fayetteville hospital where she had been a patient since May.

Mrs. Grasser was born Aug. 10, 1926, in Ceres. She graduated from Perry high school in 1944 and attended the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State university. She was a teacher in Oklahoma City before moving to Anchorage in 1962.

Survivors include her husband of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Jose Benitez of Anchorage; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Horn, 1301 Cedar street; one sister, Mrs. Lyell Thompson, Fayetteville; and one grandson.
