Robert William Adams

March 16, 1924 – September 18, 1991

Former Lucien community resident Robert Adams, 67, died at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Administration hospital at Little Rock, Ark.

Graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Hill cemetery. Rev. Jim Gentry, of the First Baptist church of Perry, will officiate.

Adams was born at Lucien, March 16, 1924. His parents were William and Manilla Adams. He attended Lucien schools and was a graduate of Perry high school. Adams attended Oklahoma State university.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Adams had worked in the shipyards in California. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include one son, Cary Wade Adams, Santa Maria, Calif.; a sister, Willa Jean Thomas, Tulsa; and three aunts and an uncle who reside in the local area, Betty Kirkhart, Bertha Kemnitz, Allien Kruse and Clyde Johnson.
