Glenn E Lighty

January 6, 1912 – August 3, 1992

Glenn Lighty, 80, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday at Perry Nursing home.

Born at Lucien, Oklahoma, on Jan. 6, 1912, he was the son of the late Edgar and Ida Lighty. They moved into Perry in 1917. He graduated from Perry high school and attended Oklahoma A&M college.

He served in World War II in an anti-aircraft unit and was a member of the First United Methodist church. He was employed as a livestock buyer/seller and hauler.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. May Lau and Mrs. Ruby Morrow, both of Perry.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist church for Rev. Jon Wilson will officiate. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist church.
