Glenn E Lighty

January 6, 1912 – August 3, 1992

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist church for Glenn Lighty, 80, who died at 12:20 p.m. Monday at Perry Nursing home. Rev. Jon Wilson will officiate and burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist church with Brown Funeral home acting as custodian of funds. The casket will be open at the funeral home, but not at the church.

Lighty was born Jan. 6, 1912, at Lucien to the late Edgar and Ida Lighty. They moved into Perry in 1917. He graduated from Perry high school and attended Oklahoma A&M college. He served in World War II in an anti-aircraft unit and was a member of the First United Methodist church. He was employed as a livestock buyer/seller and hauler.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. May Lau and Mrs. Ruby Morrow, both of Perry.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
