Charles Lee Campbell

March 15, 1923 – November 23, 1996

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home for Charles L. Campbell, 73, Perry.

Rev. Chuck Burns will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery.

Casket bearers will be J.D. Jones, Ryan Goodson, Buck Rogers, Donald Bay, Ronnie Bay, Jed Kenaston and Leon Hughes.

Campbell died Saturday afternoon of injuries received in a tree-cutting accident that happened in a pasture south of Perry.

He was born March 15, 1923, at Perry, the son of Charles Lee and Anna L. (Grant) Campbell. He attended Red Rock and Perry schools and served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He and Freda M. Francis were married on Aug. 16, 1943.

Campbell was a farmer and rancher and also had been an employee of Schlumberger from 1950-69.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Pam Hill, Syracuse, KS, and Mary Dickey, Tulsa; one brother, Walter Campbell, Wichita, KS; one sister, Phoebe Wilson, Perry; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
