Mattilene Eulalia (Shelton) Chenoweth

March 19, 1914 – September 13, 1984

Mattilene Chenoweth, 70, area resident since 1928, died at 2 p.m. Thursday at the home of a daughter in San Diego, Calif.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Parker-Brown Funeral chapel. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Chenoweth was the daughter of Joseph and Austa Shelton and was born March 19, 1914 at Guthrie. She and Star Chenoweth were married at Pawnee, Aug. 28, 1933. Chenoweth preceded his wife in death. Mrs. Chenoweth was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include four daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Gail) Stotley, Wichita, Kan.; Mrs. Don (Maralee) Mitchell, Hooker; Norleta Watkins, San Diego; and Mrs. Don (Ila) Rupp, Perry; one sister, Ellamay Bretz, of Brittish Columbia; a brother, Wesley Shelton, Conway, South Carolina; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
