John Kemnitz, Jr.

– son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kemnitz, 115 Sixth, Perry, was born seventeen years ago at Holdenville and has since attended school at the Perry Lutheran school and three years of his high school was spent at Craig, Colo.

John is a member of the Lutheran Walther league. He plans to enter college upon his graduation.

John Alford Kemnitz

April 15, 1927 – June 24, 2006

John Alford Kemnitz was born on April 15, 1927 to John A. and Katherine (Lau) Kemnitz in Holdenville, OK. He grew up and attended school in Perry, OK and on June 9, 1951 he married Darline Meeks in the First Christian Church in Tonkawa, Oklahoma.

Mr. Kemnitz was in the accounting department at the Continental Oil Co. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ponca City, OK.

His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, loved talking about cars and drinking coffee with his buddies at McDonalds and Braums every morning.

Mr. Kemnitz passed away June 24, 2006 in Oklahoma City at the age of 79 years.

He is survived by his wife, Darline Kemnitz, of the home; daughter, Paula Cooper of Yukon, OK; two brothers, Charles Kemnitz and wife Laura of Perry, OK and Edward Kemnitz and wife Anita of Geneseo, IL; granddaughter, Katherine Cooper of Yukon, OK; family friend, Mike Polito of Edmond, OK, and a host of family and friends.
