George Virganins Webber

Apr. 30, 1895 – May 25, 1919

George Webber, age 24, son of Mrs. J. P. Webber, died Sunday morning, May 25th, after two years of suffering from tubercular trouble. George suffered a bruise on the hand while skating and from this tubercular trouble of the bones in the hand resulted. Continued treatment was of no avail and this spring he had the hand amputated. But the disease had permeated the system and for the past several weeks he had gradually grown weaker until death came to his relief.

George was a graduate of the local high school and for the past year or two has been doing typewriting in the Register of Deeds office.

He was a member of the Masonic order and the lodge membership turned out in a body Monday afternoon to attend the funeral services at the Baptist church in charge of Rev. Vermillion. The Masons had charge of the services at Grace Hill cemetery where interment was had.

The mother, sister and brother, who is now in the navy, survive.

George was a good boy and everyone was his friend. The bereaved mother has the sincere sympathy of all in her sadness.
