Jack Briscoe

April 12, 1897 – February 23, 1983

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Strode Funeral Home chapel in Stillwater for Jack Briscoe, 85, of Stillwater, formerly of Perry. He died Wednesday. Dr. Eldon Moelling officiated and burial was in Fairlawn cemetery.

Briscoe was born April 12, 1897 in Noble county to Harry and Elta Briscoe. He was married April 12, 1927 to the former Ethel Clausen in Stillwater. He was a graduate of Oklahoma A&M College’s school of engineering. He was employed in Akron, Ohio with Tire Manufacturing for two years following his graduation before returning to Stillwater as an employee of the City. He later formed Briscoe Construction Co., which specialized in highway building.

Briscoe was a member of the Christian church in Perry and Beta Theta Pi.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank. He is survived by his wife of the home.
