Philip Knox Divine

March 8, 1917 – April 30, 1972

Funeral arrangements are pending in Phoenix, Ariz., for Phillip Divine, 55, brother of John Divine, manager of the Perry Chamber of Commerce, who died unexpectedly Sunday.

Divine was retired from a career in the Air Force and was a flying instructor at Phoenix. John Divine plans to attend the funeral.

Other survivors include his wife of the home; two sons; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Neuerburg, Garden City, Kan., and Mrs. Georgia Donohoo of Ponca City, and four other brothers, Lois of Corsicanna, Texas; Charles of Odessa, Texas; James of Cushing and Thomas of Edmond. Another brother, Joe, of Iola, Kan., preceded him in death.

Divine was born on a farm south of here and has been away since early in World War II. He graduated from Perry high school in 1934.
