Emmett E. Mills

September 5, 1920 – September 28, 1970

Emmett Mills, 50, 514 Noble street, died at 5 a.m. Monday at Perry Memorial hospital, where he had been a patient since Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran church with Rev. W. J. Wehmeier, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction or Newton funeral home.

Mills was born Sept. 5, 1920, southwest of Perry, and was married Oct. 23, 1945, in Perry to Theresa Voigt, who survives. He attended White grade school, west of Perry, and was graduated from Perry high school in 1942.

He formerly operated a service station in Perry and was employed by the State Highway department for 10 years. He was forced to retire in 1968 due to ill health. Mills was a member of Christ Lutheran church.

Survivors in addition to his wife of the home are two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Passow, Red Rock and Mrs. Everett Pricer, Perry; and two brothers, H. G. Mills, Perry and Everett Mills, Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
