Donald Laird
Perry and Oklahoma City schools, including Roosevelt junior high school at the capital city, preceded four years of Perry high school for Donald E. Laird, who was born here 18 years ago and has spent 15 years here.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Laird, 801 Sixth street, and out-of-school time has been spent as a clerk at Brownie drug store and later at Kraemer’s shoe store.
He plans to enter service in the army or navy after graduation.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Moore’s Eastlawn chapel at Tulsa for Donald E. Laird, 65, Tulsa, a native Perryan, who died Tuesday at his home.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Hill cemetery at Perry. Contributions have been invited to the American Heart association.
Laird was retired owner of Spartan Drug store at Tulsa. He was an airplane pilot and member of the Ercoupe Owners association.
He was born in Perry Dec. 7, 1924, and attended Perry schools. Laird was a pharmacist and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret, of the home at Tulsa; one daughter, Evelyn Peller, Broken Arrow; a son, Kirk Laird, Tulsa; a brother, Carl L. Laird, Bella Vista, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
