Arlene (Jirous) Swartz

June 27, 1926 – Oct. 25, 1993

Arlene Swartz, 67, 1010 Kaw street, died at 4:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 1993, at Presbyterian hospital in Oklahoma City.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Brown Funeral home of Perry. Rev. Rod Masteller, pastor of Putnam City Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Swartz was the daughter of Charlie and Anna Jirous and was born southeast of Perry on June 27, 1926. She attended Noble county rural schools and was a 1943 graduate of Perry high school. She also attended Oklahoma State university.

She and George Swartz were married at Perry, Oct. 12, 1946. Mrs. Swartz had worked as a bookkeeper for 0. J. Moore at the Chevrolet dealership in Perry.

In addition to her husband, survivors include four sons, Phillip Swartz, Oklahoma City, and Robert Swartz, Roger Swartz, and Larry Swartz, all of Perry; one brother, Marvin “Bud” Jirous, Oklahoma City; and four grandchildren.
