Homer Clarence Myers, Sr.
January 11, 1904 – September 21, 1969
Homer C. Myers, 65, 2508 NW 27, died Sunday at his home of an apparent heart attack. Services will be 11:30 am Tuesday at Smith & Kernke with burial in Rose Hill.
Myers was born in Lucien and came to Oklahoma City four years ago. At the time of his death, he was the insurance business and a business teacher at Oklahoma City University. He had previously been a high school teacher and had worked for Oklahoma Department of Agriculture. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1934. He was a deacon at Trinity Baptist Church, a Mason, and a member of the Oklahoma County Insurance Association.
Survivors include his wife, Jerrie; a son, Homer C. Jr, 2149 Erin Place; a daughter, Mrs Phil Simpson, Boulder, CO; a brother, Roy, Blackwell; and five sisters, Mrs John Goe, Lucien; Mrs Ralph Forshee, Hayward; Mrs Henry Forshee, Del City; Mrs O. R. Sams, Perry; and Mrs Melvin Hall, Lamont.
