John Cermak

April 17, 1907 – July 11, 1977

John Cermak, 70, a former resident of Red Rock and Perry, died at 4 a.m. Monday at the Weatherford Nursing home, where he was a resident.

Funeral has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist church of Weatherford.

Born April 17, 1907, at Red Rock, Cermak was a graduate of Perry high school and Oklahoma State university. He taught school most of his life and had taught at Weatherford college for 20 years until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, a daughter, Dorothy Alvis, Albuquerque, N.M.; three brothers, Joe Cermak and Adolph Cermak, both of Perry; and Wesley Cermak, Britton, S.D.; a sister, Elizabeth Swarts, of Oregon; a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
