Richard S. “Dick” Hicks passed away Friday, July 4, 2003 at his residence in Simonton, TX.
Mr. Hicks was born November 6, 1933 in Carnegie, OK to E.P. and Edna Wilson Hicks. He graduated from Perry High School in Perry, OK. He was employed with Strouhal Tire.
He is preceded in death by his son, Dale Allen Hicks; parents, E.P. and Edna Hicks; brother, Kenneth Hicks, Donald Hicks, and Dale Hicks.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Hicks and daughters: Holly and Bree of Simonton, TX; four sons: Gary Hicks of Sugar Land, TX, Steve Hicks of Richmond, TX, Bill and Dale Kagey of Houston, TX; three daughters: Linda Curtis of Pendleton, OR, Dawn Luster and Kelly Daugherty of Houston, TX; three brothers: Weldon of Houston, TX, Earl Dean of Perry, OK, and Harold of Tulsa, OK; one sister: Betty Ann Smith of Glen Ellen, MD; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, July 6, 2003 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Funeral service being held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 7, 2003 at the funeral home with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
