Phyllis Ann (Karcher) Sams

January 16, 1936 – August 11, 2017

Phyllis Karcher Sams passed away August 11, 2017, at the age of 81, while riding with her husband of 64 years, Larry Sams, to feed the deer around Lake Carl Blackwell.

She held a Masters degree and worked in the Muskogee County Schools system as a teacher and the Director of Food Services.

Phyllis and Larry have two children, Dirk Sams and spouse Susan of Bixby, and Liane Potter of Saint Petersburg, Florida. Phyllis very much enjoyed her four grand-girls and loved them all very much.

Her number one priority was traveling all over the world with Larry and their family. Her most recent worry was getting the magnolia tree to grow in the backyard. Life was good for her.

Funeral will be Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to Oklahoma 4-H Foundation, 205 4-H Development Building, Stillwater, OK 74075.
