Catherine Rose (McCormick) Gideon

July 3, 1903 – July 14,1995

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday for Catherine Rose Gideon, 92, who died at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 14,1995, at Norman Regional hospital. Services will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic church. Rev. Kevin Devlin will officiate. Burial will be at St. Rose of Lima cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic church or the Oklahoma Nature Conservancy, with Brown Funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.

Mrs. Gideon was born July 3, 1903, the daughter of William and Rose McCormick. She and A. C. Gideon were married April 26, 1938, in Perry. Mrs. Gideon was a homemaker and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic church and the Altar society.

Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Rose Gideon, Norman; and a son, Dr. William Patrick Gideon, Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, William McCormick Jr., John McCormick, Robert McCormick and Thomas McCormick; and one sister, Margaret Conke.
