Thomas Orrin Munger, Jr.

March 1, 1915 – February 19, 1973

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ United Methodist church at Enid for Thomas 0. Munger Jr., 57, Enid, formerly of Perry, who died shortly before noon Monday at Bass Baptist hospital at Enid. Munger had been hospitalized two weeks ago for treatment of a heart condition.

The services will be in charge of Rev. Joe Carson with burial at Memorial Park cemetery at Enid under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans funeral home. The family has suggested contributions may be made to the heart division of the Oklahoma Medical Research foundation.

Munger was born March 1, 1915, at Waukomis. He grew up in Perry and attended Perry schools. He attended Oklahoma State university and was a member of the OSU Alumni association. He was married in 1940 to Eleanor Pope, who survives.

Munger moved from Perry to Enid in 1946 and owned and operated the Tom Munger Seed company. He was part owner of a seed business at Hobart.

A veteran of World war II, he was a member of the American Legion, Kiwanis club, Masonic lodge, was a past president of the Oklahoma Seedman association and was a member of several other organizations.

Survivors other than his wife of the home at Enid include one daughter, Mrs. Wade (Kathy) Myers, Enid; two sons, Orrin, Enid, and Jim, Ponca City; his mother, Mrs. T. 0. Munger, Enid; one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Betty) Beasley, Monroe, La.; one brother, Robert, Middletown, N. J.; and four grandchildren; an uncle, William Munger Sr., and cousins, William Munger Jr., and Joe Shoop, all of Perry and Mrs. Vernon Nelson of Lucien.
