Lola (Brand) Emery

February 14, 1911 – May 19, 1992

Lola Emery, 81, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 1992, at Perry Nursing home.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Brown Funeral home. Burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist church.

Mrs. Emery was born at Perry, Feb. 14, 1911, the daughter of Carl and Russia Brand. She attended Hunter rural school and was a graduate of Perry high school.

She and Victor Strub were married. He died in 1944 and she was married to Howard Emery in 1946. Mrs. Emery had operated a dairy farm south of Perry.

In addition to her husband, Howard, survivors include one son, Gary Strub, Perry; three grandchildren, one brother, Herbert Brand Sr., Perry; and one sister, Doris Burrage, Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Victor, and one daughter, Connie Edwards.
